Frequently Asked Questions

Gabion box or gabion mesh roll?

Gabion boxes are made to size with diaphragms and are filled with stone on site, mainly for retaining walls. Mesh rolls are cut and shaped on site, mainly to cover slopes and riverbanks.

Barbed wire or razor wire?

Barbed wire suits farm and general boundary fences. Razor wire has sharp steel blades that make it much harder to climb or cut, so it is used on high-security sites.

Which coating lasts longest?

Galfan (zinc–aluminium) coating lasts longer than standard galvanizing. A PVC coating over galvanized or Galfan wire adds further protection in wet or salty conditions.
