What is 3D welded mesh fence?

3D welded mesh fence is made from straight steel wires welded into a rigid panel, then pressed with horizontal V-shaped bends. The bends add stiffness without extra weight, so a 4 mm or 5 mm wire panel stays straight across a 2.5 m span.

Panels are fixed to square, rectangular, peach-shaped or round posts with clips or clamps. Panel height sets the number of bends: lower panels usually have two, taller panels three or four.

It is one of the most widely used boundary fences for factories, gardens, schools and public areas. We supply panels alone or as complete systems in galvanized and powder-coated finishes.

3D welded mesh fence panels 1030, 1530 and 2030 mm high with 2, 3 and 4 V-bends, and a V-bend close-up
Panel height sets the number of V-bends: 2 up to 1230 mm, 3 for 1530–1730 mm, 4 from 1830 mm. Right: V-bend close-up with 50 × 200 mm mesh.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is it called a 3D fence?

The horizontal V-shaped bends give the flat welded panel a three-dimensional profile. The bends make the panel stiffer and more resistant to impact.

How many bends does a panel have?

It depends on the height. Panels up to about 1.2 m usually have two bends, 1.5–1.7 m panels three, and 1.8 m and taller panels four.

Which posts can be used?

Rectangular, square, peach-shaped and round posts. Peach posts allow quick installation without separate clips; square and rectangular posts use clips or clamps.

What is the difference between 3D fence and 358 fence?

3D fence uses 50 × 200 mm openings for general boundaries. 358 fence has a much tighter 76.2 × 12.7 mm mesh for high-security sites.

Can I order panels without posts?

Yes. We supply panels only, or complete systems with posts, fixings and caps.

What information do you need for a quotation?

Fence height, total length, wire diameter, finish and colour, post type and installation method, and the number of corners and gates.
